It was founded in 1905 and is therefore the oldest course in our territory. The course was founded and inaugurated on 21 August 1905 by King Edward VII of England. After cutting the inauguration ribbon, the King signed his name with a golden pen in the commemorative book and became the first founding member of the club.
The Golf Club Mariánské Lázně is the only one in Central Europe that can boast such a distinguished past. The club became the venue of the world’s most important amateur competition – the European Amateur Team Championship. The undisputed highlight of the club’s history is the acquisition of the right to use the title “Royal Golf Club” by the generous decision of the British Queen Elizabeth II in 2003 and the subsequent visit of His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.
