Franti\u0161kovy L\u00e1zn\u011b is the smallest of the spa towns of the so-called West Bohemian spa triangle. However, this does not detract from their beauty or importance and for centuries they have been one of the most important European spa towns. <\/p>

In the vicinity of the healing springs near Cheb, the Austrian Emperor Franz I founded the world\u2019s first peat spa in 1793, which bore his name in his honour.<\/p>

In less than 200 years, the small village grew into a major spa town.<\/p>

Effective spa treatments, mainly focused on gynaecological diseases and sterility treatment, unique historical character and beautiful surroundings have made it one of the most visited spas in Europe.<\/p>

The development of the spa industry was inextricably linked to the development of the town itself. The original modest spa promenade was surrounded by English parks, spa hotels, colonnades, spring pavilions, gazebos and other spa buildings, mostly in the Classical and Empire styles, were built. <\/p>

Franti\u0161kovy L\u00e1zn\u011b thus became one of the most beautiful spa towns set in the greenery of parks and forest parks.<\/p>

This unique architectural complex was declared a municipal conservation area in 1992.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
