It is also called the Spring of Love. <\/p><p>Its high iron content once cured anaemia, turning cheeks pink.<\/p><p>It consists of three springs of similar chemical composition. These are weakly mineralised ferric acids, still used today for their high iron content in some forms of anaemia and for their diuretic effect in urinary tract diseases, especially urinary stones. <\/p><p>Iron is required for the construction of haemoglobin. Many patients after surgery, with gynaecological problems, and also with advanced affections of the kidneys and urinary tract are markedly anaemic, and the iron from Ambrose is better utilized than that from preparations.
